instead of having the roci/fob go around grabbing asteroids with the cage, allow raptors to fly out to the asteroids on a raptor, go mine it, then hop back in and fly back to the roci. So basically, make the roci into a carrier for the raptors.

You’d also need to make sure it could be upgraded and not just immediately jump to a exotic.
For a second I thought this meant dinosaur raptors on asteroids
